Find Your Way - A Business Event 2010

FREE Business Events 2010

Helping Businesses throughout Lancashire

Wednesday 21st July 2010 Preston North End, Preston 3pm to 6pm

Lancashire County Council, Preston City Council and South Ribble Borough Council have joined with partners to provide you or your business with practical help and advice.

The event features:

+ Business Pitch

Meet a specialist panel who can discuss your business needs and ideas relating to new business start ups, existing businesses, finance, marketing and sales. (20 minute pre-booked face to face sessions)

+ Business advice

Business Link presentation on business support, finance, grants, and services available to local businesses: Business Link advisors will be available for confidential and professional guidance to established businesses.

Advisors from Business Venture Group & the North and Western Lancashire Chamber Commerce will also be available to offer support to new business start ups or existing businesses.

+ The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) will advise you on how to access its resources to help you develop and grow your business. Areas of support include ‘Unite with Business’ – which provides an injection of expertise through providing you with additional skills to achieve high-impact business projects.

+ Employment and Career Advice

From Jobcentreplus and Preston Employment Partnership: Business start-up as an employment opportunity.

+ Retail Therapy

Talk to an advisor on a one to one basis on a specific retail topic that concerns you. Pre-booked and drop-in sessions with skills shop from Preston College.

+ Future Horizons Apprentice @Your Business – Lancashire County Council’s new programme designed to support SMEs/Social Enterprises in Lancashire to recruit enthusiastic apprentices. Speak to our staff about the benefits to your company and how we can enable you to expand your workforce.

+ Business Information Sources via the Lancashire Library and Information Service.
